Thoughtful Thursday

On Thursdays, I will post a few of things that I have been thinking about. This includes projects that I thinking of creating, thoughts about life and family and just general get-it-out-there-and-out-of-my-head ramblings.

I am....

... glad to be back posting something on this blog even if it is just a "Thoughtful Thursday" post and not something crafty.

... beyond tired of having a stomach virus. I am now on day 8 of a stomach bug. That's right, DAY 8! My nephew and sister had it last week for Tuesday evening and Wednesday. Thus, I, being a kind sister, came over to make soup for the family. Of course, my nephew wanted to be loved on and I gave in. Thus, my 8-DAY adventure with this virus. Hopefully it is over but you never know. I thought I was done with it on Saturday but yeah....

... finally DONE with a quilt that I started in May 2013... yep, a whole year of my life has gone into this quilt! I'm hoping to write up a post on it tomorrow afternoon so check back. (Of course, if the virus rears its head, you'll find me under the covers!)

... ready to get started on a baby quilt that I did the fabric pull for over the weekend. It will be for the third child on one of my pastors, an incredibly sweet couple. I'm so excited about the main fabric that I found. It is perfect for them!

... excited about some ribbon that I ordered from YozoCraft. It is too sweet and I cannot wait to find some gorgeous fabric to use it on. I ordered some lace ribbon and also some "labels".

... excited and worried to wash the "year-long" quilt. I did one gentle washing to remove the kitty hair (gets everywhere!) but need to do one more with the label. I am trying out the technique used by Amanda Jean here. I have a set of the Micron pens she suggests but I am still super nervous!

.... trying to stay positive that I am DONE with this virus and I just need my tummy to heal from its battles before eating real food. (Saltine, anyone?)

What are you doing this weekend?

Love,
Ashley
