Today I have a simple work-in-progress that I hope will be a FINISH very soon! Maybe even in time to post this Friday?? That might be pushing it! :)
I created a variable star within a variable star using the instructions at SewCanShe. She gives you the instructions and measurements for the first two rounds. I used the BlockFab app on the iPad to find my final measurements. (Thanks, SewCanShe, for the link!)
I wasn't sure how much I would like the app but now that I am using it I love it! It is super helpful plus combined with SewCanShe's awesome instructions I feel ready to do all the blocks on the app!
Any way, here's my block in progress currently:

Here's the ideas I'm thinking about for the border:

Hmmm... choices, choices! |
I'm leaning toward using the cream as the corners with the dark green as the border.
Hopefully I'll have this ready to start quilting tonight! My plan is to turn this into a uber-comfy pillow for my couch. If I'm not loving it there then I'm bringing it to work to stare at from my desk!
Currently the block is 18" by 18" unfinished. I'm hoping to finish it at 20" by 20" but we'll see when I sewing! :)
Oh, and I almost forgot! I'm linking up at this sites today! Go check the out!
