Hexie Quilt Addition

I am still working on exactly what my final design will be for the project that I shared here.

While my original inspiration just continued to spiral outwards I am beginning to lean toward a different idea. Basically I'll create an additional 6 large hexies like the one below. I'll connect them all together to create one large quilt.

Hexie One
This hexie has 10 rounds outside the center piece. So I would continue this fashion out to the ninth round and use the black/grey round as the separator.

I'm still not sold on my new idea but I am really like where my new large hexie is going!

Hexie Two

I will either make the additional hexies or I will go back to my original idea using this new hexie.

Any thoughts or opinions on where I should go??

I'm linking up with Life Under Quilts for the monthly star count. I figure the hexies are close enough, right?  Edit 3/3: I'm also linking up to the Sew Cute Tuesday link-up over at Blossom Heart Quilts! Thanks for visiting! Please check out the other bloggers back at the link!

  1. I think your idea for your project is very cool. I can picture how it would look and I think it would be stunning and very different. This is the beauty of EPP...we can change our minds as we go!

    1. Thanks, Judy! I love the idea that is brewing in my head. Guess it's time to sit down with some hexie paper and begin the hexie count to see what I'm getting myself into!

    1. Thanks, Pamela! Me, too! I think the first one is almost too dark while this one is more vibrant.
