Of course with the snow days came lots of fun sewing and lots of "netflixing"! We never lost power so I had a bunch of fun sewing and just hanging out with my husband. And of course lots of cuddling with my kitties!
I also worked on the some of my swap items that needed to go out. Since I was going anywhere it seemed like the perfect time to sew!
Here are some pictures of the 12" blocks that I mailed out for Baker's Dozen Swap.
I didn't find an actual pattern for this one but it wasn't hard to figure out from the Pinterest picture. |
I also sewed up a couple of mug rugs from some online swap also.

Second mug rug but I forgot to take a picture of the back. |
I also sewed up a St. Patty's block to send out in the third swap I'm participating in. She asked for St. Patty's so I hope she likes it! I used the instructions here to create this block.

I think one of the best things to happen during the snow days was the discovery of this wavy stitch! I used it on one of the mug rugs and I'm quite excited to use it again! Some of the quilting bloggers that I read have this stitch on their much more fancy (and expensive) machines. I'm a bit surprised that my little Brother from Walmart has it also! Look at that!

Here's a look at my cutting table during these snow days! It is a bit of a mess and I am not saying if it still looks like that!!!
Yes, there is clear wrap on that table! I wrap my blocks in the wrap to ensure that if the envelope gets wet the fabric won't get ruined!
I'm linking up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict (a few days late but it counts!). If you are visiting from there, HI!!
I also made a new "closing" graphic! I'm quite happy with it! :)
