I am....
...proud of myself for posting twice in one week! What!?!?! Yeah, let's not look at my track record on that!... have added a couple of new buttons to my side bar which leads me to:
... happy to say that I have stepped out of my comfort zone not once but three times this week!
FIRST -- I have joined in the 2015 New Quilt Bloggers!
I can't wait to get to know other quilt bloggers and get inspiration from all of them! A Facebook page has been set up just for us new bloggers so it's been quite entertaining for me to hear little digs from my phone all day at work from people posting on the page! I created a new group in Bloglovin feed just for this group of bloggers! I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything from my regular reads but still keeping up with the requirements for the group!
*I would love it if you would follow me there! You can find me here or through the link in the sidebar.*
SECOND -- I've joined in the fun over at Meadow Mist Designs with her new 2015/16 Midnight Mystery Quilt!
I did cheat a bit and request the sneak peak that she offered. I've never completed a quilt-along before. I was a bit afraid that I would make the worst fabric choices or absolutely hate it in the end. I'm happy to saw that I LOVE the pattern and am excited to get started on the project! No more hints though!
THIRD -- I've purchased the Make Over Morning course from Money Saving Mom! I really enjoy this site and jumped at the chance to hopefully find more time in my day! I never seem to have enough time to get everything done. (*The above links are NOT affiliated with me nor do I receive compensation.*)
A Facebook group was formed to help us be accountable and just chat. I'm enjoying that interaction a great deal.
All of this means that I am even more strapped for time than I was before but luckily I am not teaching this term so that means work stays at work and I can concentrate on home stuff.
I realized a few days ago that while I have been finishing projects but sending them off before photographing them! I've been participating in a number of swaps on Facebook but never shared them here! I don't have any finished projects in the works but I'll start photographing and posting the blocks I'm swapping once a week (if I remember to take the picture!).
What's going on in your life lately?
Hey, I like your "Happy Sewing" button at the bottom of the post! I haven't checked in this morning on fb but you'll have to tell me how you did it if it's not in something I've missed... I've decided to join in with Cheryl's mystery too! Another friend told me I should and I thought nope cannot do it, but then I was tempted to "just go see" and the time frame seems really decent so, add one more thing to my list!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandra!
DeleteWoohoo! I am so happy you joined the New Blogger's Hop and the Midnight Mystery Quilt-a-long! I look forward to getting to know you better and quilting along with you this year.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cheryl! I'm looking forward to it as well!
DeleteOh I joined the quilt along too! I decided to hold out for a surprise at the end! It will begin to stealing with you.
ReplyDeleteI've actually seen the quilt in three colorways and loved each one!!! Now to make my own decision about it!
DeleteSnap, I've joined both the 2015 New Quilt Bloggers Group and the Midnight Mystery QAL as well!! I've not done either before so I'm feeling a little apprehensive, as I seem to have quite a bit on the go all of a sudden, but it should all be fun and a great experience. I've seen you pop up on both so we can encourage each other along! :0) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that I'm connecting with so many people!
