Hexy Update
I have made more progress on my Hexie Project! The last I posted I was in the middle of Hexy #3. Here it is in its final state!
Hexy #3 |
I have already started on Hexy #4. The first few rows of the large hexy is quite easy compared to the final rows. Here's some in-progress shots of Hexy #4.
As you can see I do my hexies a bit differently than others. I like to do it in rows, usually two at time versus the flowers you usually see. This is much easier for me to handle and to work with. Here's another view of how I do my row additions:
I sew the 6 sections to the main piece one at a time. After these rows are sewed on I will have to pick out fabrics for the next four rows. Thoughts??
Mystery Quilt
I have picked out my four fabrics for the Mystery Quilt! I showed my first selection in this post. I actually visited the larger town north of home on Monday and was able to go shopping for my final two fabrics. I actually ended up choosing the same grey/black fabric that I am using as the divider fabric in my Hexy Project!! Guess I really like it!However, I am running into one big problem! I have my four fabrics but I can't decide on which fabric should be assigned to each number! Well rather I can't decide on two of the colors!
