Two Hundred Twenty-Six

That's how many days it's been since I've hit publish on any post.

To be honest, it's been 196 days since I even hit the 'Blogger' quick link on my browser.

Why? I'm not even sure... Maybe I didn't want to see that my last post was the hardest one that I have ever written. Maybe I just didn't know what to write.

Life has changed a great deal since my Marcus passed on. Life is quieter with only one cat in the house: Sophie. Hubby and I are torn on getting another cat or maybe getting a dog. We like being a one pet household but we fear that SophieKitty is lonely by herself. If we got a dog I know he/she would likely come into work with me.

I received a promotion at work and now work with a number of at-risk students. It's sometimes draining but oh-so-rewarding job. I'm so glad I decided to step outside my comfort zone and apply for the job during the summer term. I started the job in the middle of the fall term so the start of the spring really opened my eyes to what my job really entails! Plus I'm getting involved with other departments on campus so I running everywhere!

During our Christmas university break, the hubby and I decided that we each wanted to make church and bible study a priority and we committed to attending both Sunday service and a weekly bible family study. It has been very rewarding and I can see that our marriage has grown from it.

I've been working quite hard on two separate hand projects and hope to spend some time during spring break actually sharing them here!

I hope all of my readers - the few there are! - are doing well and am happy to be back writing even if it is only do a weekly check in on the progress on my hand projects.

  1. It's good to see you post again. It sounds like you have been very busy but at least a good busy. So it's good to hear that things are going well. As far as a friend for Sophie Kitty...I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I would say she needs a feline and canine friend. My husband insisted on bring home a kitten back in the fall and with Oliver being the only cat in the house at 9 years old, it has been an adjustment for him. He's not as youthful as he once was.
