2016 Sewing Goals - Update

(c) Crafty Ashley B

It's bee nearly two months since I set my sewing goals. (Click here for that post.)

Here's a complete list of my goals as well their current status:

Goal 1: Complete my niece's twin quilt.
This is in progress with nearly all of the hand quilting done! Should be completed soon! I'm so ready to be done with it!

Goal 2: Start and complete my nephews' twin quilts.
Yikes! Not even started yet! Uh-oh! I am thinking that I will quilt-as-you-go to make it a little easier (and faster) to get to the boys!

Goal 3: Create two small sewn items each for my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law.
I did make one small make-up bag for each of them using owl fabric and their favorite colors. Didn't get to make a second item in time for the end of June exchange!

Goal 4: Finish piecing my large hexagon flower quilt.
I have a feeling that this will be going on for quite some time! I've made a few more flowers and hope to lay the pieces out over the long weekend. Hopefully I'll be finalizing the size soon to get it ready to quilt!

Goal 5: Create and complete a total of five four baby quilts (three two girls and two boys) by July.
I have one baby girl quilt pieced and I've started the quilting. No pictures until I've gifted it! I also started the piecing for a boy quilt for a sweet friend from grad school. I did buy the fabric for the other boy quilt for the grandson of one of my favorite coworkers!

So there we go! Not a lot of progress to report, but I'm happy to report that work is crazy-busy and I'm so happy that my job is so wonderful!
