Pixel Heart

Some time back, I pinned this fun pixel heart from Robert Kaufman. I decided I wanted to create a play on an "I Spy" quilt but in heart shape. I decided that the original quilt would be too large for a baby quilt. I used 3.5" squares to create this quilt.

I started with 14 fabrics (compared to the 28 fabrics designated in the pattern). I actually ended up incorporating some other fabrics from my other quilts that I really liked - polka dots, elephant print.

Keeping the fabric in the proper order was the most difficult part!

I ended up keeping the squares on spare piece of fabric and wrapping it up when I wasn't working on it!

Cobblestone Quilt

I have been following along the Solstice Challenge hosted by Pat Sloan (click here for details). I haven't actually committed to creating the blocks. That being said, I had to create the cobble stone quilt! You can find the details here.

This quilt is wonderfully happy with jelly rolls. I found a fun gold and bright pink jelly roll at JoAnn Fabic. While there I found some prettily patterned teal fabrics to pair with the pink. I was quite happy to find all of these pairing on one trip!

I used every piece of the jelly roll to create this quilt. I may have a few small pieces left!

Look! There's Zoey!
I took these photos during the same photo shoot as this quilt and this one. I have one more quilt to showcase next week!

Last look!
