Pixel Heart

Some time back, I pinned this fun pixel heart from Robert Kaufman. I decided I wanted to create a play on an "I Spy" quilt but in heart shape. I decided that the original quilt would be too large for a baby quilt. I used 3.5" squares to create this quilt.

I started with 14 fabrics (compared to the 28 fabrics designated in the pattern). I actually ended up incorporating some other fabrics from my other quilts that I really liked - polka dots, elephant print.

Keeping the fabric in the proper order was the most difficult part!

I ended up keeping the squares on spare piece of fabric and wrapping it up when I wasn't working on it!

I ADORE the quilting - straight line on the diagonal through the squares.

And of course my little helper came along!

  1. Your Quilt is beautiful and what a great idea for keeping parts of the quilt in order.
