... and two weeks to take photos!
Way back in 2014, I shared about a great quilting class that I had attended at a quilt shop in a nearby town. (That post was actually my fourth post! This will be my 98th published post!) Unfortunately, that quilt shop closed at mid year last year. Yes, right as I moved within 30 minutes of it!I just read over that post and I wrote that I hoped to finish the quilt by end of summer so my husband could use it in the winter. Y'all, I didn't. In fact, I JUST finished it! Two weeks ago! I waited to share this post until I had the photos taken.
It doesn't have a label yet. My husband wants a cross stitched label but badly wanted to use his quilt! So into the wash it went so it could crinkle up for him to use!
For Christmas, my mom gifted us money so we could get whatever we wanted/needed. My husband decided a great use of it would be for us to rent time on a long arm machine! That way I would get to play on a long arm - which I had never done - and he could get his finished quilt!
So last week I went The Sewing Center in Shreveport for a couple of hours! The folks there were great and super patient with me as I figured out the machine. It was a lot of fun though I wish I had thought through the quilting just a bit more.
On a positive, my husband is in love with his quilt and couldn't wait to use it!
And finally the photos!
