Travel Baby Quilt - A Finish!

This baby quilt was finished in December 2017 - I just didn't have time to write a post plus I needed to deliver it to baby! The end of the school year and then the flu during break completely derailed all of my plans! Plus the start of the new school year. Things have been a little nutty!

I mostly followed my standby baby quilt pattern. I shared it nearly four years ago - I still haven't found that darn book! I'm going to blame our move for not being able to find it now. Just because it was 6 months ago means nothing!

Instead of a 3 by 5 pattern, I went with a 5 by 5 layout. I really like a square quilt for babies and toddlers.

This quilt was made entirely out of fabric from my stash! I made it for one of my previous interns who had a sweet little boy in April. Yes, I know it's a bit late! But better late than never! His nursery theme is travel - I was excited to find the fun transportation fabric in my stash to use!

It shrank slightly to 39" but each of the blocks originally finished at 8". I really love this pieced back. And yes, I have been on a diagonal quilting roll!

I used orange thread to quilt this. I love how it pops in the green squares!

This quilt has gone to its new home. I hope the sweet baby loves it as much as I do!
