Gifted Baby Quilt

I finally finished another quilt! A disappearing nine-patch made with navy, grey and green for a sweet friend's baby boy, who recently turned 7 months old! One day I'll gift a quilt before you can measure the baby's age in months!

This friend and her sweet baby have a very special place in my heart. Little boy was born very early and spent many weeks in the hospital building up strength to go home. He was home for a bit and then returned to the hospital with some complications. But recently was able to go home! This little one is dearly loved by many and had many prayers over him!

This quilt ended up at 41" x 54". It was going to be square but I decided it was a bit too large! I added the extra column to the back instead.

I'm happy to have finished and gifted this sweet quilt. I hope that little boy and his sweet momma enjoy it!

One last look!

  1. What an adorable boy quilt!!! And reversible! So glad he's home now and your quilt has made it to their home, too.

  3. That's a great quilt for a baby. I really like the size -- long enough to cover him as he grows. I know what you mean about finishing a quilt while the baby's still little. But 7 months isn't too large and I'm sure he and his mom will enjoy it.
